Our mission is to provide top quality specialty oral care through education and compassion, and to address the unique needs of your pet and your family in a warm, friendly and caring environment. The doctors and staff at Animal Dental Clinic take pride in establishing and maintaining a relationship with you, your pet and your veterinary team.
We are a team of highly trained veterinary professionals, led by Board Certified Veterinary Dentist Dr. Donald Otten. Once a pet is referred to our practice, our team takes a comprehensive approach to each patient, integrating preventative and state-of–the-art oral care and personalized, collaborative patient care. We can provide alternative treatment plans and tiered options of care, and strive to balance your pet’s quality of life, cost considerations and the desires of you, the pet owner.
From scheduling your initial consultation to the day of your pet’s procedure, Animal Dental Clinic’s doctors and staff happily address questions and concerns, and explain the science behind your pet’s treatments. While your pet is in our care, we update you throughout your pet’s procedure to ensure the highest level of patient care, family communication and understanding of your pet’s diagnostics and treatment plan. We will keep your veterinarian up to date on your pet's treatment and care with us.
Thank you for making us a part of your pet’s veterinary team! We hope to have the opportunity to strengthen the bond between you and your pet!

"We were referred here by our vet. Our kitten had been suffering from chronic stomatitis. Dr. Haggerty suggested removing all of his “cheek teeth” and to see if the infections continued. It was expensive, but he’s like a new cat- no longer sickly, he’s become..."
"I recommend Animal Dental Clinic to everyone as they are absolutely wonderful. My dog Riley was diagnosed with acanthomatous ameloblastoma and I was referred to Animal Dental Clinic by my regular veterinarian. Not only were they very knowledgeable and professional..."
"Dr. Battig and Dr. Shafford saved our dog's life when other veterinarians gave us no hope due to an aggressive oral osteosarcoma diagnosis. Highly recommend this clinic. Our 12 yo lab/rottie not only survived, she is thriving. Thank you Dr. Battig et al!!"
"I encourage so many of my clients to see these wonderful dentists. The biggest fear among my clients in doing a dental is the anesthetic. Dr. Battig and her staff have been hand-trained by a veterinary anesthesiologist to have the safest protocols. Even my most concerned "high maintenance" clients have gone home thrilled with the care provided."
